  11. Girls Athlete of the Week: Bridgette Andrzejewski, McDonogh, soccer

Just seven games into her high school career, the freshman forward has made a major impact for the No. 1 Eagles. In two wins against Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference rivals last week, she came through with some of her finest work to date. In a 3-1 win over No. 12 Mercy last Wednesday, Andrzejewski broke a 1-1 tie early in the second half and then iced the game with an assist. On Friday, the Eagles (6-1) knocked off then-No. 5 and previosuly unbeaten Notre Dame Prep, 7-0, with Andrzejewski accounting for the game's opening goal and two others in the win. Strong on the ball with high skills and a cannon shot, Andrzejewski has 12 goals and three assists on the season. She plays with the Premier Soccer Club and is a member of the U.S. Under-15 national team.
