    The Avilla/Joplin weather radio transmitter is down for the next few days.&nbsp; It is producing a low signal but it isn't reliable.&nbsp; It appears the tower got struck by lightning and a technician needs to climb the tower and fix it.&nbsp; With the strong winds expected the fix won't probably happen until after the severe weather outbreak forecasted Sunday evening through Tuesday.&nbsp; It is imperative you switch your weather radio frequency, otherwise, you may not get a warning.&nbsp; Check your owner manual to change your frequency.&nbsp; Here is the list of frequencies to change to depending on your location.
