Barons Football golf tourney

Registration is currently open for the ninth annual Baron Football/Michael Musso "Moose Invitational" Golf Tournament presented by the Fountain Valley High Football Boosters.

This year's event is June 23 at Mile Square Golf Course (10401 Warner Avenue, Fountain Valley). The tournament will consist of a four-person scramble, longest drive contest, closest-to-the-pin contest, and a putting contest.

The cost is $150 per golfer and includes green fees, cart fees, practice range, door prizes, gift bags, buffet lunch and banquet dinner.

The annual event helps raise money for the Fountain Valley High Baron football program and the Michael Musso Memorial Fund. Musso, a 2004 graduate of Fountain Valley High, lost his life in a car accident July 29, 2005. Through this fundraiser a scholarship is given to a four-year Baron football player each year.

For information on tournament registration, prize donations/contributions, or to volunteer for the tournament, call Kristie Musso, tournament director, at (714) 545-3726, or email kmusso@hbuhsd.edu, or http://www.fvhsfootball.com.
