Wolfpack, Untouchables finish summer on high notes

The Wolfpack boys’ Under-12 Silver team won the Hotspurs Labor Day Soccer Tournament in San Diego.

In the championship game, Wolfpack edged the Hot Spurs Black, 2-1. On its way to the title, Wolfpack outscored three previous opponents, 9-4.

The Wolfpack boys’ U12 team is: Dominic Bair, Andrew Brummett, Blake Cass, Thiago Costa, Ryan Erickson, Adam Grigus, Ryan Hice, Sam Kemper, Cobe Mahan, Collier Maruska, Brian Piscopo, Chase Robertson, Dustin Underwood, Nick Warner, Kobe Wood and coaches Matt Murphy and Matt Brummett.

Untouchables win three tournaments

The Untouchables boys’ 13-and-Under soccer team captured three tournament titles on consecutive weekends to close out the summer.

First, the team won the Cypress Cup, then the Barcelona Cup title in San Bernardino. The Untouchables capped their impressive run by winning their division at the North vs. South Tournament in San Bernardino. At the North vs. South event, the Untouchables competed in the upper Boys’ 13U division and played five teams. They defeated the Marauders of Southern California, 3-0, in the division final.

The Untouchables are: forwards Israel Rios, Garen Balikgioclu, Jack Slavik, Tyler Rule, Alessandro De La Cruz and Matthew Johnson, midfielders Daniel Banta, Christian Keys, Andrew Duong, Taigen Hegberg, Bobby Jinkins, Anthony Kiriaki, Calvin Cruz, Iman Eslami and Nicolas Lyons, defenders Michael Salcedo, Kobie Anton, Adam Hepburn and Kevin Whalen, goalie Allen Montero, Coach Gabriel Montoya and Manager Gilda Banta.
