Strikers Cup starts Saturday

The Strikers Cup 2013, a youth soccer tournament presented by Strikers South Coast, runs Saturday and Sunday at various field locations in Huntington Beach.

The Strikers Cup is a Cal South sanctioned Class 1 Tournament and is open to all United States Soccer Federation-affiliated teams divisions U9 through U19. USSF National Assn. Player passes also are excepted. Age groups are for the 2013-14 season.

Trophies will be given to teams that win division champions and individual medals will be presented to players on teams finishing in either first or second place.

The Huntington Beach Sports Complex is the host venue for the two-day event. High school field sites hosting games are Huntington Beach, Edison, Marina and Westminster. Games also will be played at other field sites in Huntington Beach.
