Irrelevant Week, which is in its 38th year, celebrates the last player taken in the NFL Draft and supports national and local charities. Irrelevant Week Inc. said it has donated more than $1 million to charities since Newport Beach resident Paul Salata, a former NFL player, founded the event.

Irrelevant Week has an anonymous scout, who’s a longtime NFL evaluator of college talent, to help fans out. He has offered four possible names, Tennessee State tackle Rogers Gain, Sam Houston State cornerback Daxton Swanson, Tennessee wide receiver Zach Rogers and Maryland tight end Matt Furstenburg, as possible last-pick candidates.
