District 62 tourney set to start

It’s that time of year again.

Eight local Little Leagues will put their title hopes on the line beginning Saturday with the start of the District 62 Tournament of Champion.

This year’s single-elimination event is hosted by Huntington Valley (Area 1) and Robinwood (Area 2) in Majors, Minor A and Minor B play.

The Majors, Minor A and Minor B championship games will at 10 a.m. June 19 at Huntington Valley.

Robinwood is the lone host of the Junior League tournament. The Junior title game is 1 p.m. June 19.

Teams from Huntington Valley, Robinwood, Fountain Valley, Ocean View, Seaview, Westminster, Costa Mesa American and Costa Mesa National will compete for district championship banners.
