AREA 1

Bolsa Chica Street: Breaking and entering was reported in the 16000 block at 11:11 a.m. Friday. The caller reported someone had entered the building through the roof and taken the cash register and the $3,000 inside, plus a laptop.

Morning Star Drive: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 4100 block at 8:22 a.m. Saturday. The caller reported someone had broke into his car overnight and taken an ash tray filled with change, a bag containing other car and business keys, an address book and a wool hat.

Goldenwest Street and McFadden Avenue: A stolen vehicle was reported at 8:49 p.m. Sunday. The caller reported someone had stolen his gray Honda Civic.

AREA 2

Quiet Bay Lane: A woman came into the police department at 10:13 a.m. Friday to report her identity had been stolen.

Goldenwest Street and Pacific Coast Highway: Fraudulent credit card use was reported at 3:43 p.m. Friday. Someone came into the police station to report his car was burglarized while he was surfing and someone tried to use his credit card afterward.

Dorado Drive: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 5000 block at 6:54 a.m. Saturday. A caller reported someone had smashed a window on his BMW and stole an iPhone from the car while it was parked in a carport.

Warner Avenue: A store in the 7100 block reported a petty theft at 1:54 p.m. Sunday. The caller reported a customer had switched price tags on an item, putting a $60 sticker on an item worth $238.

AREA 3

Palm Avenue: Petty theft was reported in the 1600 block at 7:17 a.m. Friday. The caller reported someone had taken his son’s iPhone from City Gym in Huntington Beach the night before, and said they’d tracked it on a computer to the area of Slater Avenue and Springdale Street.

Lincoln Avenue: Fraudulent credit card use was reported in the 200 block at 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Orange Avenue and 7th Street: A stolen vehicle was reported at 11:51 a.m. Saturday. The caller reported someone had stolen his 2008 black Honda Fit Sport on Dec. 5. He waited to report it because he thought he may have forgotten where it was parked, but he searched the area and couldn’t find it.

AREA 4

Aquatic Lane: Identity theft was reported in the 20700 block at 10:56 a.m. Friday. The caller reported someone had used their debit card to purchase airline tickets.

Adams Avenue: Fraudulent credit card use was reported in the 9800 block at 2:31 p.m. Friday.

Brookhurst Street: A man reported someone had stolen his pit bull after he’d tied its leash to a newspaper stand and went to order food in the 21500 block at 9:37 p.m. Friday. The man later called to report someone had returned the dog to his apartment. Someone had seen the dog get loose from the newspaper stand and picked it up and took it to their home before returning it to the owner.

Adams Avenue: Potential check forgery was reported at the Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store at 9901 Adams Ave. at 2:25 p.m. Sunday. The reporting party said a woman, who’d been flagged for passing bad, out-of-state checks, purchased gift cards with an out-of-state check. The check had not been verified as fraudulent.

Sumac Lane: Petty theft was reported in the 100 block at 11:58 a.m. Monday.

Warner Avenue: Petty theft was reported in the 8800 block at 5:42 p.m. Monday.

Brookhurst Street: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 18700 block at 8:48 p.m. Monday.

Plumosa Street and Ellis Avenue: A coyote was spotted at 5:39 a.m. Tuesday.

Edinger Avenue and Mt. Gustin Street: Vandalism was reported at 10:17 a.m. Sunday.

La Hacienda Avenue: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 10300 block at 7:06 a.m. Monday.

Slater Avenue: Grand theft was reported in the 10300 block at 9:53 a.m. Monday.

Sandstone Avenue: A residential burglary was reported in the 11200 block at 2:02 p.m. Monday.
