AREA 1

Edinger Avenue: Petty theft was reported in the 7500 block at 5:34 p.m. Saturday. The suspect was taken into custody.

Heil Avenue: A stolen vehicle was recovered in the 7000 block at 6:05 p.m. Sunday. It turned out the reporting party’s friend had taken the car and returned the keys and the car.

Washington Drive: A caller reported someone had broken into their 1992 Honda Accord in the 7500 block at 5:35 a.m. Monday. The party said someone had gone into their car overnight, but left the key in the glove box. There was no sign of damage on the vehicle, which was still parked in front of the house.

AREA 2

Dorado Drive: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 5000 block at 7:55 a.m. Saturday. The caller said someone had smashed the front passenger’s window of their black BMW and taken a leather work bag.

Edwards Street and Talbert Avenue: Officers recovered a stolen vehicle at 10:48 a.m. Saturday. The door trunk handles and locks had been “shaved off” and a remote car starter was missing in the vehicle.

Hampton Lane: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 17300 block at 7:14 a.m. Sunday. The caller reported someone had gone into his Lexus LX 460 and taken an undisclosed amount of money.

AREA 3

Pacific Coast Highway: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 2000 block at 1:54 p.m. Saturday. The caller reported someone had broken into his car overnight and taken his stereo and other undisclosed items from the front of the car.

1 Block Street and Walnut Avenue: A vehicle theft was reported at 9:47 a.m. Sunday. The caller reported they had parked their gold Toyota Corolla, which has two Huntington Beach stickers on the back, at the location around 11:45 p.m., taken a cab home and when he returned it was gone.

Pine Street: Breaking and entering was reported in the 1700 block at 5 p.m. Sunday. The caller reported she’d left the house for a few hours and when she returned, her key wouldn’t fit in the lock. While it appeared the lock had been tampered with, there was no sign of entry and no suspicious activity of persons reported in the area.

AREA 4

Kappa Drive: Petty theft was reported in the 9000 block at 8:57 a.m. Friday. A man said someone had gone into his unlocked Chevy Silverado and taken $200 in cash, a vestal watch and Volcom jacket.

Brabham Drive: Breaking and entering was reported in the 9000 block at 3:46 p.m. Saturday. Officers responded and saw someone had entered the house while it was tented by cutting a hole in the tarp and crawling through the doggy door. Approximately $50,000 worth of valuables — cash, jewelry and watches — were missing from the home.

Adams Avenue and Magnolia Street: A bike theft was reported at 8:28 a.m. Sunday. The person came into the police station to report the theft.

El Lago Avenue: A coyote was reported to be roaming around the 8700 block at 1:23 a.m. Saturday.

Adobe River and Arches Court: A stolen vehicle was reported at 9:57 a.m. Sunday.

Bandilier Circle: Petty theft was reported in the 18400 block at 2:42 p.m. Sunday.

Warner Avenue: Petty theft was reported in the 11100 block at 2:16 p.m. Monday.

Newhope Street: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 17200 block at 9:15 p.m. Monday.

AREA 6

Filbert Street and Gladiola Avenue: A fireworks disturbance was reported at 4:46 p.m. Saturday.

Newhope Street and Quartz Avenue: Illegal solicitation was reported at 7:14 p.m. Saturday.

Lilac Avenue and Harbor Boulevard: A stolen vehicle was reported at 10:13 a.m. Sunday.

La Capilla Avenue: Disturbing the peace was reported in the 9700 block at 8:20 p.m. Sunday.

Greenleaf Street: Identify theft was reported in the 17000 block at 11:16 p.m. Monday.
