Nancy Estrin

Born in New York City to Russian immigrants Sylvia and Paul Pollack (both deceased). Nancy had one brother Martin Pollack, who is also deceased.

Nancy graduated from Washington Irving High School in New York City. In 1948, she left New York for California. She attended Glendale Junior College and worked as a secretary in Los Angeles. In 1950, she married Donald Estrin. She is the mother of two sons, Bradley and Glenn.

She loved music, played the piano for many years, loved animals and volunteered at school for children with special needs.

She leaves her two sons and their wives, Michele and Karen, grandchildren Matt, Trista, Tori, Rachel, Benjamin and two great-granddaughters, Samantha and Riley.

Don will miss Nancy terribly. He loved her dearly and held her hand at her bedside when she passed away. He told her not to struggle and leave comfortably which she did, peacefully.

There will be a private gravesite service on Thursday, April 24, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to brailleinstitute.org.
