Thousands of runners pound the pavement in Surf City 10

Share

Serious runners mixed with the not-so-serious as thousands turned out on a cool, overcast morning Sunday for Huntington Beach’s 60th Surf City 10, featuring 10-mile, 10K and 5K running events.

Racers traveled Pacific Coast Highway, starting in front of the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort.

Participants could raise funds through an online page to benefit the Project Self Sufficiency Foundation, a Huntington Beach-based nonprofit that tries to help low-income single parents achieve financial independence.
