Two arrested after fight in Fountain Valley

Two men injured in a fight in Fountain Valley on Saturday have been arrested, according to police.

Luis Torres, 19, reportedly used a knife on Brandon Blanford, injuring him in the forehead, Fountain Valley Police Sgt. Tony Luce said.

Blanford used “bodily force” to break Torres’ cheek bone, Luce added.

Blanford, 21, was arrested on suspicion of assault and is being held at Central Men’s Jail in Santa Ana, with bail set at $25,000, according to jail records.

Torres was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and is being held without bail at the same facility.

The incident occurred at 7:48 p.m. at the 8900 block of Nightingale Avenue, where, according to police, multiple people were detained in front of and inside a home.
