Huntington Beach police believe a man might have committed suicide in the Dog Beach parking lot Tuesday morning.

Authorities released few details about the incident but said a parking officer found the man shortly after 9 a.m. in a vehicle parked above the bluffs near Goldenwest Street and Pacific Coast Highway.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene, according to the news release from the Huntington Beach Police Department.

"At this time it is believed to be a possible suicide," police said. "We are not releasing the cause of death or victim information pending further investigation."
