Man arrested for alleged indecent exposure

A homeless man was arrested in Fountain Valley Sunday morning after he allegedly exposed his genitals to residents while sleeping near the private community’s pool.

David Carlos, 34, of Santa Ana, was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure at 10:28 a.m. at 10824 Los Jardines East, authorities said. He pleaded not guilty to one felony count of indecent exposure Tuesday in court, according to the Orange County district attorney’s office.

As police took Carlos into custody, authorities received a call from another resident who reported an incident with the suspect earlier in the day.

The caller reported that she and her niece were running in the area when Carlos told her he liked her body, police said.

Carlos’ pretrial will be June 24 at Orange County Superior Court in Westminster. He remains in Orange County Jail on $100,000 bail.
