Man critical with multiple gunshot wounds

A 21-year-old man was critically injured Sunday after being shot multiple times in the Oak View neighborhood of Huntington Beach, authorities said.

Police received a call at about 4:33 a.m. of shots being fired near Jacquelyn Lane just north of Slater Avenue, Lt. Gary Faust said.

When officers arrived, they found the victim lying the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition, Faust said.
