Bicyclist killed in hit-and-run identified

Officials have identified the 34-year-old bicyclist killed Sunday after a hit-and-run collision in Huntington Beach as Genevieve Hall.

The accident occurred about 8:25 p.m. near Beach Boulevard and Utica Avenue. Officers found Hall lying in the street, according to a statement from police.

She was transported to UCI Medical Center, where she later died, the statement said.

Based on evidence, authorities believe that a white sedan northbound on Beach hit Hall, who was traveling east on Utica, according to the statement. Witnesses told police that the vehicle did not stop after hitting the bicyclist.

On Monday, authorities narrowed down the suspect vehicle to a 2006 to 2013 white Chevrolet Impala with damage to its front bumper.
