Police seek suspects in attempted break-in

Huntington Beach police are looking for two suspects who reportedly attempted to break into a home Saturday, according to authorities.

A woman told police that around 8:30 p.m., someone rang the doorbell multiple times at her home in the 6200 block of Royalist Drive.

Authorities said the resident did not answer the door but shortly after she saw two people, described to be two black men around 18 to 22 years old, jump her side fence into the backyard.

Before the suspects could get into the house, the resident turned on the lights to the yard, which scared off the men who were last seen fleeing possibly in a silver SUV, police said.
