Pumpkin panacea: Pavilion Park, 194 Compass, Irvine, will host a free Pumpkin Glow family event from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Visitors will be able to stroll a quarter-mile path illuminated by more than 2,000 jack-o’-lanterns. Offsite parking will be available half a mile away, at Ridge Valley and Irvine Boulevard, with shuttle service offered from 5:45 to 9:45 p.m. Residents are invited to help carve pumpkins from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.Tools and pumpkins will be available onsite. Drink (and eat) for the cure: It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so an array of local businesses are offering special deals, with proceeds benefiting Hoag Breast Center. Panera will donate a portion of the proceeds from sales of its Pink Ribbon bagels; Mother’s Market & Kitchen will give $1 per Pretty in Pink juice sold; and Avila’s El Ranchito will donate a portion of sales from its Pink Cure Margaritas (available in virgin and alcoholic versions).

Plein air art: The Crystal Cove Art Show returns from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Crystal Cove Shopping Center, 7832 E. Coast Hwy., Newport Beach. Get an early start: The Huntington Harbour Philharmonic Committee will present its eighth annual holiday boutique from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Huntington Harbour Mall, 16889 Algonquin St. Available items will include clothing, accessories and jewelry, home décor, musical gifts and specialty gourmet foods.
