‘Tis the season for outdoor movie screenings, a favorite Orange County tradition. We’ve compiled a few of our favorites below, from family-friendly to perfect date night fare.

Picture show: The Orange County Great Park in Irvine will host a free showing of “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on the lawn, as well as other family favorites on June 14 and 28 and July 12. Flashback Fridays begin with “The Wizard of Oz” on June 6 and continue on June 13 and 27. Bring a beach chair, blanket and snacks. Information: ocgp.org.

Night on the town: Enjoy SoCo Nights from 5 to 9 p.m. each Tuesday this summer at the SoCo Collection, 3303 Hyland Ave., Costa Mesa, with live entertainment or movie screenings and food and beverages available for purchase. From June 10 to 24, enjoy $10 wood-fired pizzas and live music. On July 1, enjoy a family-friendly movie with $10 admission per adult, which includes a pizza, or $5 per adult without pizza. Ladies’ nights: Later this summer, the Segerstrom Center for the Arts will bring back its popular Movie Mondays with “The Little Colonel,” starring Shirley Temple, on July 7, “Spice World” on July 14, “Gigi” on July 21, “Cabaret” on July 28, and “Sweet Charity” on Aug. 4. Patina Catering will offer themed menus for each movie. Bring a beach chair or blanket, food and beverages. No barbecues will be permitted.
