Village View Elementary School in Huntington Beach received a giant check from an online greeting card company after getting the most people to register on the website. The real version of the check is worth $2,000.

The effort made them the winners of a competition run by the Cardraising company that challenged schools around the country to register the most people to cardraising.com.

The school may also benefit from some of the proceeds of purchases. The personalized greeting card site donates 30% of every purchase to a school or charity of the customer's choice.

Representatives from the company presented the oversized check to representatives from the school during a morning flag ceremony Friday.
