A motorcycle caught fire after a collision on the 405 Freeway in Huntington Beach on Monday morning, a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol said.

About 8:21 a.m., the highway patrol received a call about a three-vehicle collision on the 405 at Beach Boulevard. Responders found a motorcycle in flames in the carpool lane and two cars on the shoulder, Officer John Latosquin said.

It was unclear what caused the collision or whether any parties were injured or killed, he said, although he noted that an ambulance had arrived.
