Man suspected in wife’s slaying

A Huntington Beach man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering his wife, according to a release from the police department.

Police have identified the victim as Heather Tuiolosega, who lived in the 15000 block of Huntington Village Lane.

Police received a call at 9:45 a.m. Monday about a possible suicide attempt at Tuiolosega’s home, according to the release.

Nelson Tuiolosega was found at his home with a self-inflicted wound and his wife was found dead, police said. He was transported to UC Irvine Medical Center where he underwent surgery and is expected to survive.

Police later learned that the suspect contacted some family members and threatened to commit suicide.

He is under guard at the hospital and is being held on suspicion of killing his wife, according to the release.
