Man charged with felonies for meeting with teen

A 54-year-old man accused of having sexual contact with a 14-year-old boy pleaded not guilty Tuesday to three felony counts.

Stanton resident Mark Aime Brosseau was charged with felony lewd acts upon a child, contacting a child with the intent to commit lewd acts and meeting a child with the intent to engage in lewd conduct, according to Orange County District Court records.

He faces a maximum sentence of five years and four months in state prison if convicted of all charges, according to the Orange County district attorney’s office. He is being held on $100,000 bail and was transferred out of the Huntington Beach Jail on Tuesday morning, officials said.

Brosseau is accused of engaging in sexual conduct with the boy Sept. 25 in his Ford pickup truck in a Bella Terra parking structure, officials said.

Huntington Beach police saw the truck parked suspiciously and checked it out at 11:30 p.m. to find Brosseau with no pants on with the boy, officials said.

He allegedly met the boy on Craigslist.
