Pretrial for council candidate postponed

Share

Huntington Beach Planning Commissioner and City Council candidate Tim Ryan was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday for a pretrial on DUI charges, but a paralegal from the office representing him said the court hearing will be rescheduled.

Jerry Dyer said Ryan’s attorney, Todd Landgren, is busy with a trial in Long Beach and sent an associate from his office to ask the court to continue Ryan’s case.

His office will be asking that the next court hearing be scheduled for Sept. 18 or 13 if the 18th isn’t available, Dyer said.

Ryan, an attorney, was arrested Jan. 28 on suspicion of drunk driving, according to court records. He pleaded not guilty and was released on $10,000 in bail, court records show.
