Beach Pit BBQ expands to Huntington Beach

The Costa Mesa-based restaurant chain Beach Pit BBQ has taken over a downtown Huntington Beach barbecue joint.

Beach Pit BBQ has acquired Smokin’ Mo’s BBQ, 301 Main St., and opened Tuesday. The new restaurant will offer its signature all-you-can-eat ribs Wednesday nights, wine night Thursdays and Philly cheese steak Fridays, and kids will eat for free Tuesdays.

The Beach Pit, which started in Costa Mesa, has expanded to Tustin and Old Towne Orange. It is expected to open locations in Laguna Niguel and Aliso Viejo.
