Pretrial for teacher couple is Thursday

A teacher and former teacher charged with having sexual relations with a 17-year-old boy are scheduled for pretrial Thursday morning.

Gay Davidson-Shepard, who has been put on administrative leave from Mesa View Middle School, and her husband, Daniel Shepard, a former teacher at Westminster High School, were arrested at their Huntington Beach home April 20.

The hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. in courtroom W14 of the West Justice Center in Westminster.

Shepard and Davidson-Shepard are charged with multiple felony counts, including oral copulation of a minor, sodomy of a person younger than 18 and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. They pleaded not guilty at their arraignment June 2.
