F.V. dance team competes in regionals

The Fountain Valley High School Dance team will compete in the Southern California regional dance/drill championships from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in the school’s gym, 17816 Bushard St., Fountain Valley.

The jazz, lyrical and hip hop teams will compete with teams from 15 other high schools.

Soloist performances start at 9 a.m., and groups compete from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Tickets are $9; children 5 and younger are free.

Zumba party for scholarships

Ocean View High School is holding a Zumba party to raise money for the PTSO scholarship fund.

The event will feature Terence from 24 Hour Fitness and will be held 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Ocean View High gym, 17071 Gothard St., Huntington Beach.

Cost for adults is $10; students are $5.

Electronic recycling to boost Edison softball

Edison High School will hold a free electronic recycling event to raise money for the high school softball team.

Recyclable electronics include televisions, computers, batteries, printers and more.

Items can be brought to the high school at Magnolia Street and Hamilton Avenue, 21400 Magnolia St., from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
