Driver rams car into light pole in Fountain Valley
A single car accident was reported in Fountain Valley at 1:11 p.m. Saturday.
According to Ron Varner of the Fountain Valley Police Department, a 77-year-old male driver rammed into a light pole after driving over the curb and hitting a tree on Ellis Avenue and Newland Street.
The motorist sustained injuries and the vehicle had to be cut off for the driver to be freed.
Paramedics transported the driver to UC Irvine Medical Center, Varner said.
