Woman who drowned in Huntington Harbour identified

Authorities identified 40-year-old Sunset Beach resident Jennifer Heather as the woman who drowned after she apparently slipped off a dock and fell into Huntington Harbour.

Huntington Beach police responded to a call at 3:13 p.m. Tuesday about the drowning near the 16700 block of Pacific Coast Highway, said Capt. Russell Reinhart.

She was taken to Huntington Beach Hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly before 6 p.m., Reinhart said.
