Free electronics disposal at Moffett

Community members can rid themselves of old electronics with a clear conscience while helping out Moffett Elementary School in Huntington Beach.

A free electronics recycling event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the school, 8800 Burlcrest Drive, Huntington Beach. The school is partnering with the Orange Coast College Recycling Center.

Accepted items include computers, monitors, cell phones and televisions. OCC Recycling will donate a percentage of the TVs computers collected to Moffett.

Electronics contain materials that are considered hazardous waste and may not be thrown out with the regular trash.
