Stitch. (HB Independent / January 6, 2013)

Stitch is described by one of our volunteers as the "perfect pit bull." This 18-month-old pit bull-terrier mix was found as a stray in June and we are surprised this winsome guy has not yet found a new home. When this same volunteer fostered him over the holidays, she reported he was the best-behaved foster dog she ever encountered. Stitch got along well with her other dogs, both large and small, and was not at all aggressive. A happy-go-lucky guy, he is friendly with people, loves to play with his ball and knows basic commands. Stitch is house-trained, not a jumper, and walks well on leash. This is a handsome, healthy dog who would fit perfectly in many households. Stitch's adoption fees are discounted 50% all week when you mention this announcement at the Orange County Humane Society, 21632 Newland St., Huntington Beach.
