Monica Jane Deemer, 80, of Newport Beach, passed peacefully at home Friday, November 14, 2014.

She was born to the late Alfred and Olive Langridge, June 12, 1934, in Los Angeles, Ca. Monica graduated from Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles and worked in an Escrow office until she married Thomas Deemer on October 8th, 1960. Tom and Monica lived together in Rossmoor, Ca. before relocating to Newport Beach, Ca. in 1971.

Monica was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who embodied the very essence of kindness and compassion. Regularly referred to as “the nicest person you could ever meet,” Monica was truly angelic to all those who knew her. Monica poured her heart generously into the world and shared her sincere exuberance for life with anyone who was lucky enough to be near.

Monica was a member of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Newport Beach and lived her life as an example of her faith. She loved to travel and spend time with her family, friends, and pets. Monica was known for her grace, affection, and unwavering sense of positivity that characterized who she was and how she impacted others.

Monica is survived by Tom, her loving husband of 54 years, and her three children: Michelle Jones, Colleen Lohse, and Kevin Deemer who all live in Orange County, Ca. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Taylor Jones, MacKenzie Jones, Austin Jones, Madison Fradella, and Teagan Lohse.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to Monica’s favorite charity, Susan G. Komen for breast cancer research at www.komen.org.

A private remembrance will be observed by direct family members in the coming days.
