Roche Bobois recently celebrated its showroom’s move to the South Coast Collection with a grand opening celebration.

The French designer furniture company, which had maintained a showroom in Costa Mesa for 15 years, moved in July from 3060 Bristol St. to 3309 Hyland Ave. The business celebrated the relocation in late August.

The new 8,200-square-foot space offers in-store consultations and features furniture vignettes that include its environmentally conscious Eco-Design collection as well as Nouveaux Classiques, a collection reinventing traditional furniture with current trends.

Signature pieces include the Astrolab Dining Table, a glass top revealing a motor mechanism that recalls the mechanics of Swiss timepieces, and a Jean Paul Gaultier armchair structured in Louis XVI style.

Roche Bobois was founded in Paris in 1950. The company has partnered with luxury fashion houses such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Missoni Home and Sonia Rykiel Maison.

“It was time for a change,” said Martyna Trembinska, showroom manager. “It’s a very up-and-coming area, and we wanted to create a lifestyle here.”

Roche Bobois is at SoCo Collection, 3309 Hyland Ave., Costa Mesa.
