Rotarians award grade school teachers

The Fountain Valley Rotary Club honored 15 of the community’s top teachers Tuesday.

The organization awarded the Teacher of the Year designation on Kim Gonsowski of Fred Moiola School, June Schroeder of Roch Courreges, Debra Frericks of James H. Cox, Tiffany Laird of Robert Gisler, Monica Christenson of William T. Newland, Marci Stiglitz of Isojiro Oka, Marilynn Manderscheid of Urbain H. Plavan and Cindy Bragdon of Hisamatsu Tamura elementary schools.

Christina Warren of Harry C. Fulton, Michael Brunner of Kazuo Masuda, Mandy Marks of Samuel E. Talbert middle schools; and Chris Young of Fountain Valley, Seena Rich of Valley Vista and Catherine Ryder of Los Amigos high schools were also honored as Teacher of the Year.
