Maurice Rose

Middlletown native Maurice Rose was a U.S. General in  North Africa during World War II. Rose reached the rank of Major General commanding the  3rd Armored Division. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross and Distinguished Service Medal.  Rose is considered by some to be the greatest Connecticut-born soldier.
