Bruno is not looking for a new home but rather treatment for severe hip dysplasia.

The dog, who belongs to a homeless veteran, has been getting help from Community Animal Network, which is paying the costs of his care after being contacted about the case by Mesa West Pet Hospital in Costa Mesa.

According to Community Animal Network, Bruno means everything to his homeless companion. The group is trying to provide for the animal’s veterinary needs through donations. This includes blood work, medications and pain management each month, as well as neutering.

Community Animal Network is a veterinary medical rescue that treats local animals that other rescues may turn away because of costs. For more information, visit https://www.communityanimalnetwork.org.

Contributions may be sent to Community Animal Network, P.O. Box 8662, Newport Beach, CA 92658. In the memo, write “Homeless Veterans Dog Bluto,” Tax ID 33-0971560.
