Jasper, named for a reddish-brown stone, has proved himself something of a diamond in the rough.

Although rather scruffy looking, this canine makes up for it in personality. Jasper was found in October as a stray and is thought to be 2 1/2 years old. At just 12 pounds, he is easy to walk on leash and is clearly house-trained. His health is good and he will be neutered upon adoption.

Best of all, this little terrier mix is endlessly entertaining, with his quirky expressions and funny habits, bringing a smile to the face of everyone who meets him. He is affectionate and especially loves belly rubs. Given regular grooming, kindness and companionship, Jasper is sure to show himself as a true gem in a caring adopter’s household.
