Boo brews: The Wine Lab at The Camp, 2937 Bristol St. Suite A101B, Costa Mesa, will become the EVil Laboratory from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday during its Freaktober Brewfest. The tasting menu is $13, or $20 with tapas pairings, and includes Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest, Rogue The Dead Guy Ale, Manzanita Witch’s Hair pumpkin spiced ale and Clown Shoes Blaecorn Unidragon Russian Imperial Stout.

Family fun: The District at Tustin Legacy will host a trick-or-treat event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Halloween, with free trick-or-treat bags distributed to the first 500 kids at Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop.
