Pamper party: Oct. 14 marks the return of Spa Week, during which many area spas will offer special $50 treatment deals through the https://www.spaweek.com website. Example participants include Fresh Espace at South Coast Plaza, which is offering three 60-minute facial options for $50, including purification facials with Umbrian mattifying clay, black tea age-delaying facials and nourishment facials with Crème Ancienne. The Clarins spa at Bloomingdale’s Fashion Island will offer three 50-minute treatments, each with a choice of an eye lift or lip contouring: a 50-minute ultimate anti-aging facial, a brightening facial or a moisture replenisher facial. The grist of it: The Love & Whiskey boutique at 2967 Michelson Drive, Irvine (in the Park Place center), is offering a complimentary whiskey tasting and cocktail the third Thursday of each month. British invasion: The iconic British brand Topshop is opening a location at the South Coast Plaza Nordstrom store Saturday. The location will celebrate with a party from 1 to 4 p.m. featuring blogger Kimberly Pesch of Eat Sleep Wear, who will style mannequins as well as attendees. A photographer will capture the day’s street style, and the store will offer makeup stations, freebies, live music and a special “Topshop Loves Orange County” tee with purchase of $100 or more. Artisanal beverages: Favorite bar and from-scratch eatery ARC, 3321 Hyland Ave. Suite F, Costa Mesa, has released a new fall cocktail menu showcasing house syrups and bitters, which are paired with other locally sourced ingredients. Ban breast cancer: Antonello, Quattro Caffe and Nello Cucina are benefiting the Orange County-based THE Breast Cancer Fundraiser with special black truffle menus available through October. In addition, the Clay Oven Indian restaurant in Irvine will offer a special three-course menu this month, and 25% of the proceeds from it will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Well-rounded wellness: Dantian Studio, a new fitness studio in Costa Mesa, is offering unlimited group classes for $39 per month. The studio offers contemporary and traditional fitness methodologies, with group classes like CrossCore 180, Pilates, yoga and Taiji. A boot camp program also is offered. Wellness programs like nutritional education and skin therapy are available as well.

Fusion fun: Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine has launched a new fall three-course prix-fixe menu available through Jan. 6. The menu includes Wagyu beef gyoza sesame citrus shoyu; a macadamia nut-crusted mahi mahi and braised beef short rib with lobster cream and natural braising sauces combination entree; and the vanilla cremeaux dessert, served with white chocolate and lemon sable cookies and blueberry sauce. Family style: Sapphire Laguna is hosting a one-time Italian Harvest Dinner from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Oct. 17. The five-course menu, served family-style, will feature northern Italian fare, including ricotta and veal ravioli and roasted wild boar shank with polenta. Peanut butter and jelly time: A large selection of chefs from area restaurants will offer a smart take on the venerable peanut butter and jelly sandwich from Oct. 16 to 25 as part of PB&J for Good, an effort to aid children with acute malnutrition around the world.
