South Coast Plaza is bringing the hottest in apparel, beauty and home décor to locals with its Live the Look event Thursday through Sunday. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Jewel Court, when E! Fashion Police’s George Kotsiopoulos hosts an opening-night fashion show, and continues with a MAC beauty exhibit and model demonstration from noon to 7 p.m. Friday in the Jewel Court (along with public makeovers at certain times daily). A Fashionably Late Friday fall preview event takes place at 7 p.m. at AnQi by Crustacean; live fashion and beauty modeling is from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Crate and Barrel/Macy’s Home Store wing; and catch a discussion on Hollywood home trends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in South Coast Plaza Village, along with special displays, offers and parties at participating stores. Seasonable sale: Piecemakers Country Store, 1720 Adams Ave., Costa Mesa, is hosting A Festival for the Season from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. About 100 booths offering handicrafts, antiques and collectibles will be onsite, along with demonstrations in classic craft techniques by Piecemakers teachers, live entertainment and food. Raise a glass: Bayside Restaurant, at 900 Bayside Drive, Newport Beach, is celebrating Oktoberfest with a classic Bavarian three-course prix-fixe menu through Oct. 31. A cornucopia of products: Seeking the latest in fall crafts? Sugar Plum Festivals returns Thursday through Saturday to the OC Fair & Event Center, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa. Admission is free. The event features more than 150 vendors offering made-in-the-USA products, as well as food stalls. Sugar Plum Festivals is wheelchair accessible, but patrons are asked to not bring strollers. Warrior pose: The Lorna Jane activewear store at Bella Terra (7777 Edinger Ave., Unit 150, Huntington Beach) has introduced a new Warrior Body fitness class. It is held at the store at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. The class is a blend of yoga, martial arts and strength-building exercises and is led by instructor Litz Roll.
