The strikingly beautiful, Bengal-looking cat named Windy was part of a kitten group that grew up with a senior in a quiet home, jumping and playing endlessly, which brought great joy to the woman who rescued them.

However, when kittens have grown into cats, and have been isolated in senior living environments like Windy was, and then left to run in a group of cats, they can act feral-like and untouchable.

For us at Community Animal Network it is unfortunate when family members call for help when a relative dies or has entered a facility, and it isn’t known how many cats there are, and the family wants to know how to catch and where to take them.

It makes it difficult to find a patient new home that encourages interaction when an animal is slow to advance its affection and could take months to build trust.

In Windy’s case, she is the most sociable of her siblings at 1 1/2 years old. We believe she is ready to find a permanent home.
