Pet of the Week

The sign on Louie’s kennel door reads, “We can’t figure out why he keeps being overlooked.”

Found as a stray in December 2012, this 3-year-old has spent nearly half his life in the shelter. Louie is a Labrador-pit bull mix and volunteer favorite who is surprisingly gentle to walk for his size. And while he enjoys the company of people and other dogs, he is also calm enough to be comfortable on his own. Given his good health and behavior, it is indeed a mystery why Louie has not found his forever home. A testament to his innate goodness is that he has sustained such a happy disposition amid stressful shelter life.

Consider giving this patient dog the chance of a normal family life. Louie’s adoption fees are discounted 50% all week when you mention this announcement. For more information, call (714) 536-8480 or visit https://www.ochumanesociety.com.
