Pet of the Week

Share

This 7-year-old Chihuahua mix is looking to be third-time lucky. Originally adopted from another shelter into a happy family environment, Travis was surrendered to the Orange County Humane Society last September when the household could no longer care for him.

He was readily adopted again, but this time, the experience was less positive. Within a week, the adopter returned him with concerns about territoriality and aggression. However, volunteers have not observed Travis exhibiting particularly worrisome behaviors during his months at the shelter. In fact, he is generally seen as affectionate, attentive and delighted to go for walks.

He is also described as playful, obedient and fine with other animals. Weighing just 7 pounds, Travis is healthy, neutered and house-trained. Given another chance in the right setting, Travis is likely to thrive.
