Pet Of The Week

Ponchita is a 3-year-old Yorkie/shih tzu mix. She is small, weighing about 10 pounds. Ponchita has the soft silky fur of a Yorkie but a cute overbite often found in shih tzus. Ponchita has had a sad time adjusting to shelter life.

She is at the shelter because of the sudden, unexpected death of her owner. She has been very shy, but now, with lots of love from the volunteers, she is starting to come up to the front of her pen and greet anyone who comes to see her. Ponchita would be a great pet in any home; she is very mild mannered and quiet. She is never barking at the shelter.
