Car show postponed due to weather

Due to the pending chance of rain on Saturday, the Surf City USA Classic Car Show will be moved to Sunday, Huntington Beach Special Events Coordinator Chris Cole announced Wednesday.

The production schedule will remain the same, just one day later, Cole said.

The second annual show will take place at Huntington Beach City Beach on Pacific Coast Highway west of Beach Boulevard. The event is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes vendors, food, music, opportunity drawings and plenty of cars on display.

Admission is free and entry fee is $35 per car. Part of the proceeds will go to veterans charities, and a Toys for Tots drop-off location will be open throughout the show. For more information, call (714) 375-0889.
