Fireman’s Ball

The Sunset Beach Fireman’s Ball, an annual fundraiser for art programs in Huntington Beach, Los Alamitos and Seal Beach, takes place at the Best Western Golden Sails Hotel’s Crystal Ballroom, 6285 E. Pacific Coast Hwy., Long Beach. The celebration includes music, dancing, gift raffles, a silent auction, a no-host bar and a grand prize drawing for a beach cruiser bike. Classic Car Show

The Surf City Beach Cruise, a classic car show in honor of Veterans Day, takes place in the beach parking lot on Pacific Coast Highway at Beach Boulevard. Car owners are invited to bring their classic models for viewing, and there will also be food, music, opportunity drawings and more from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration for cars is $30, but admission to the general public is free; parking in the lot costs $15.
