Self-Management Class

The Chronic Disease Self-Management Program offers a free six-week self-management class at FountainGlen Seacliff Clubhouse, 7181 Garden Glen Court, Huntington Beach. Sixteen businesses will pass out candy to trick-or-treaters from noon to 4 p.m. and there will be small-breed dog races at 1 p.m. The event also includes a dog costume contest. Drs. Ken Yabuki and Ryan Wyn host a Halloween candy buy-back program at their dental office at 18800 Main St., Suite 210, Huntington Beach. From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (excluding weekends), the office buys back candy for $1 per pound to send packages to troops overseas.

From 4 to 8 p.m., the store features a live masseuse, a color specialist and opportunities for girls to try on diamond rings, necklaces and earrings. 2011 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Walk two to four miles to in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at 21500 Pacific Coast Hwy. The registration and festival area open at 7:30 a.m., while opening ceremonies start at 9:30.
