Oktoberfest

Old World Village hosts its 34th annual Oktoberfest, featuring German music, food, dancing and more, at 7561 Center Ave., Huntington Beach. An opening day fundraiser to benefit the Therapeutic Riding Center of Huntington Beach lasts from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, with $10 admission for food and entertainment. Regular hours are 6:30 to 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 6:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday. (Only 21 and older admitted Friday and Saturday.) Golf for Veterans

The Mile Square Swingers Ladies Golf Club hosts its 30th Invitational Golf Tournament at Mile Square Golf Course, 10401 Warner Ave., Fountain Valley. The nonprofit is offering a summer special adoption fee of $99 for adult cats, $135 for kittens. The fee includes neuter/spay, vaccination, FIV/FVRCP test, microchip, collar/ID tag and a bag of food.
