Sunset celebrates to raise funds for association

Sunset Beach is going to get loud and let its hair down July 31 at a classic rock concert and cookout fundraiser.

The small unincorporated area is hosting its fifth annual Classic Rock Beachfest to raise money for the Sunset Beach Community Assn.

The concert will feature several tribute bands playing music from the 1960s and 1970s, with Led Zeppelin tribute band Led Zepland headlining the night.

The concert is from 1 to 4 p.m. July 31 at the Sunset Beach Community Center Lot on 12th Street and North Pacific Avenue.

Hot dogs and hamburgers will be on sale at 11:30 a.m.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Children younger than 12 are free.
