Don’t forget to order the fresh guacamole with a cult-like following, the broccoli and cheese soup with chips, and end with a banana date smoothie. Bringing laughs to H.B.

Get your laugh on in Huntington Beach at the new Surf City Comedy Club that brings stand-up comedy acts every Friday and Saturday night. Taking the stage are comedians who have appeared on Showtime, HBO, Late Night Television and Comedy Central.

The comedy club, which is owned and run by comedians, offers affordable, stand-up comedy with doors opening at 7 p.m. and shows kicking off at 8 p.m. Special “VIP” deals and discounts are available for guests who sign up on the club’s website.

General admission costs $15 per person. There is a two-item minimum in the showroom, and a dinner and drinks menu is available too.

Pamper yourself

What better way to celebrate our favorite season than a summer-infused pampering treatment a la Ritz-Carlton Spa, Laguna Niguel?

Or, give your feet a treat with a Cucumber Mojito Pedicure that combines an intensive complex containing cucumber extract, camomile and aloe vera to aid in the repair of dry, cracked skin. The Mojito pedicure lasts 45 minutes and costs $70.

The final treatment is a Soothing Aloe Mojito Sunburn Relief that incorporates colds stones, healing lavender and soothing aloe noni gel. It ends with a thorough scalp massage to reduce stress, provide energy and assist with mental clarity. The 30-minute treatment costs $120.

Outdoor concert at SCFTA

Pack a picnic, bring your chairs and warm blankets and head over to the Arts Plaza of the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa on Saturday evening.

You’ll be treated to a free live simulcast of the Symphony’s performance of Beethoven’s No. 9 at 9 p.m. For the first time, the center presents a “Pacific Symphony Plazacast,” outside in celebration of Pacific Symphony Music Director Carl St.Clair’s 60th birthday and John Alexander’s 40th anniversary with the Pacific Chorale.
